Titration Test Kit PA-15

Use this kit to determine the concentration of Seacole detergent in a cleaning solution.

1. Take a sample of the cleaning solution, filling the graduated test tube with the amount from the chart below (either 12.5 mL, 25 mL, or 50 mL).
2. Add approximately 5 drops of Phenolphthalein Indicator until pink color is evident.
3. Hold the Phosphoric Acid 15% bottle vertically and add one drop at a time to the sample, stir regularly, and count the number of drops added until pink color disappears.
4. Rinse the graduated test tube and repeat as needed to ensure a precise count.
5. Divide the number of Phosphoric Acid 15% drops by ‘X’ from the chart below to approximate the percent concentration of Seacole detergent in the cleaning solution.
