AlumiBrite is a non-flammable, non-chlorinated, liquid formulated to desmut wrought aluminum alloys. It is free of the red precipitat commonly associated with non-chromated powders. AlumiBrite desmuts rapidly leaving a clean, bright finish. It is also an excellent brightener for brass and copper. AlumiBrite works by oxidizing smut to a form that is very soluble in selected acids. These acids then remove the undesirable impurities, brightening the surface.
